Dinosaur Train DVD

I had gotten the Dinosaur Train DVD from Barnes And Noble. I had ordered it online to prevent the hassles of the crowd, plus finding this dvd would be nearly impossible to get. Anyway, this DVD has 8 Dinosaur Train episodes and it's titled "Dinosaurs in the Snow."

Dinosaur Train soft cover book

Upon ordering a few things at Amazon, I had to even out the balance to my gift cards. It's one of those things where you have to get the total amount of what's on your cards, including the tax, shipping, etc it all has to be the total amount. I had a few dollars left and I had shopped for a few things for about a few bucks. One of the things I chose was a soft cover book of the show Dinosaur Train. The tittle of this book is "I'm A T-rex." Buddy, is in search of discovering what kind of species of dinosaur he is. His mom, Mrs. Pteranadon, and his brothers and sisters, Tiny, Shiny, and Don all go on a trip on the Dinosaur Train. Mrs. Pteranadon then suggest that they stop at Tyrannosaurus Station for lunch and explore the place. There they see Mrs. Tyannosaurus and her daughter Annie, a young T-rex about Buddy's age. Immediately Buddy and Annie become fast friends, and Buddy discovers that Annie looks like him and learns that he's a T-rex. Buddy learns that he's a carnivore and eats carrion or meat, and lots of it. Althought his Pteranadon family only eats fish. Overall it's a great book and the characters are all CGI images from the show. I had gotten an e-mail from Amazon sayoing that my order was going to be delayed, as they had problems getting my ordered items from the suppliers. I guess that the show must be very popular and the merchandise is almost impossible to find, let alone the books. I guess that I lucked out in getting the book instead of searching all over the book stores to find one. You never know just how popular these things can become. I enjoy the book.

Dinosaur train at Sesame Place thought

I often thought that because the dinosaur train helps the dinos get around, maybe it could help people get around. There's a place for kids called Sesame Place, and by the sounds of it, although it's for kids, they should include the dinosaur train as a way to get around the park with ease. If the kids would want to stay, the train would go through a simulated time tunnel with colorful lights, and on the other side, would be where the train would stop. Probably at some type of dinosaur junction, where the kids could meet up with the Pteranadon family and go into their large nest and have their photo taken. For a fun thing, they would have a fun fossil digging within a large sand area, and a probably an indoor place where kids can interact and learn all sorts of things about dinosaurs. Maybe someone looking like Dr. Scott the Paleontologist would be there to greet the kids and answer their questions about dinosuars. Oh there probably would be a dino themed restaurant or cafeteria for the kids to go and eat at.

A dream I had years ago about the show

I once had this dream a few years ago about the show being promoted in a mall and it was very strange and seemed very real. There was a booth that looked like the Dinosaur Train, selling official Dinosaur Train merchandise and the show was available on DVD for the first time ever, and it was being shown on a tv set at the booth for the people to get a sample of what the show was like. Now the dream I had about this promotion had three different outcomes. One such outcome was that I was wearing a t-shirt I made of my copyrighted dinosaur characters, and as I walked passed by the booth, a hand had suddenly grabbed me by the shoulder and as I was pulled back. Then I heard a man say “Now hold on there partner, what’s your hurry, come on back here for a moment.” It was the Troadon Mr. Conductor as he wanted to check out my t-shirt and was pleased and impressed that I was a dinosaur fanatic, but an argument occurred, since he saw that one of my characters was a Pteranadon and told me that it wasn’t a dinosaur. I tried to explain my reason for the character but it didn’t work out very well. Then, the next outcome of the dream had showed that the Pteranadon family was made into walk around costume character form, and I think that Mrs. Pteranadon saw me and my dino shirt and didn’t want me to leave, as I was told by a guy that worked the booth. All I remember was that I sat down on a bench and she sat down next to me wanting to know more about the dinos on my t-shirt that I made.
As I explained all this to her, I remember that suddenly Mr. Pteranadon had come out of the back door of the booth and saw me with Mrs. Pteranadon. He had come to me and pushed me away, thinking I was coming onto his wife. But I wasn’t doing that, but explaining to her about my dinos and who they were, and she just got curious and wanted to know more info about them. I also do remember that the young Pteranadon kids were there as well and Buddy had a great big smile when he saw me and the dino t-shirt I made for myself and just ran up to me as if he was wanted to know who I was. I also vaguely remember something in the dream about after I told Mrs. Pteranodon and her family about my dinos, everyone else in the booth was fascinated with my dinos and the story behind them. However, the head guy who probably created the series had had a look on his face that was not very pleasing, as maybe he got mad at me for creating something that sounded better than his show, or maybe that one of my dinos may have closely resembled something he created in the past. I doubt that though, but it was only a dream I had and it may not even be true. Hopefully that because I had written this down that I didn’t spoil or ruin any future plans the studio had to promote the show. Another outcome of the dream had featured me telling Mrs. Pteranadon about my book I made about my dinos, and had showed her an illustrated story book I made about them. It was fascinating to them, however I do remember that she said that she thought that my dinos were more geared for adults than children and she told me to “shoo shoo, go away.” It may have been just a dream, however it all seemed very real to me.

Dinosaur Train Pbskids show

As a lover of dinosaurs, I often get enjoyment from watching the PBS kids show Dinosaur Train. Interesting that it stars a Pteranadon Family with Mr. and Mrs. Pteranadon as the mother and father, and their three young Pteranadon kids Tiny, Shiny and Don. And the mother had decided to adopt a mysterious dinosaur egg, which turned out to be a young baby Tyrannosaurs Rex, who’s name is Buddy.
During the episodes, the Pteranadon family take a journey on the dinosaur train, where a Troadon named Mr. Conductor often meets up with the young Pteranadons to answer various questions about dinosaurs that they are curious about. What makes the dinosaur train special is that it takes a magical journey through a time tunnel, which takes them back millions of years to various stops where many various dinosaur’s live. As an ultimatum, this is a great way for Buddy and his friends to get up close and learn about the dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic, Triassic, and Creataceous and Mesazoic time periods.
I do get the enjoyment of watching the adventures the Pteranadon family have and how much they all learn about the dinosaurs that lived back then. Most likely during their trip they have a specific purpose for going on their trips like seeing a special dinosaur event, fun gathering, or just going to the beach to get themselves fish for their meal. Each of the dinosaurs they meet have a very unique personality and characteristics. You can just smile when you see Buddy, as he explores his wonders and creates hypothosis and learns what the dinosaurs do and why they do it. Sometimes they all have fun, like riding on the head of a Brachiosaurus during a race, and getting a great scenic view as well, or making friends with some of the other younger dinosaurs they meet. I was surprised that Buddy didn’t realize that he was A Tyrannosaurus Rex, until he met up with Annie and her mom. Buddy learned he and Annie were very much alike as they both had very sharp teeth, very small hands, and a great sense of smell. And naturally Buddy preferred the taste of Carrion or the remains of other dead dinosaurs as apposed to eating fish. I guess that since the fish were very bony that it would be difficult for Buddy to consume.
Interesting that the other dinosaurs were given very colorful features on their skin, and the Veloceraptors (known for their giant sharp claw on their foot to hunt) had feathers to enable them to run fast. In Jurassic Park, I’ve noticed that the Veloceraptors didn’t have feathers on their skin. But the cool thing was with the Corythosaurus, and the ability to make sound with the crest bone on their head, as the nasal passages pass through it. I can understand that it was used to alert other Corythosaurus of their presence or communicate, but I don’t know about making music. But I’ve noticed that in Jurassic Park 3 that Dr. Allen Grant had studied the nasal passages of dinosaurs and carved out a passage on a dinosaur head sculpture he made to look like a flute or something you blow into to create the sound of what that dino sounded like. Now that was cool!! Of course the interesting episode is when the Pteranadon kids learn about dinosaur poop. They took a trip to meet up with Ned a Brachiosaurus who went to visit his parents . They spent a fun day playing games, and then Tiny began to do her little dance to indicate that she really needed to use the bathroom. Naturally she felt uncomfortable about doing her business in some strange place, and then Buddy re-assured her that she will keep guard to make sure that nobody sees her while she’s doing her business. Buddy had advised Tiny to go behind those large stack of boulders to do her business, which in reality was Brachiosaurus poop, and it was huge.
Still, out of all the dinosaurs, I still get enjoyment of the Triceratops, and within one of the trips, they meet up with a young boy Tri-ceratops who is friendly and is herbavoraceous or has a huge appetite of eating green plants. Man you should’ve seen him eat, as he just plowed through a thick bushel of green bushes and leaves with no problem. He also proved that because of his huge shaped head and three horns, he was able to assist the young Pteranadons to scare off a bully Velocerator who was always showing off and making the young Pteraadons look bad. What a great way to defend oneself from preditors.
Now I’m not sure about this, but I think that the show had aired previously in the mid to late 1990’s but didn’t really catch on, as I may have remembered the show being promoted with Welch’s jelly jars as something collectable. It's a dinomite show to watch.
